Havering and Essex with an Alternative Twist!

Michael Wan’s Mandarin, Blackpool.

After having many burgers and pizzas we thought it was time to spice things a bit so we headed to Michael Wan’s Mandarin.  We did book in advance as this was the 4th best restaurant in Blackpool listed on Trip Advisor and they stated it gets super busy! Being a two minute walk from the hotel made it even better!

We opted for the sharing starter, this is becoming a bit of a habit for us, so we could try the ribs, seaweed, prawn toasts, chicken satay and spring rolls. All was fantastic.

For mains we had Chicken curry, that has 14 different spices in!  It was amazing and we teamed that with egg friend rice to not take the attentions away from the flavours.  We also had spicy Singapore fried rice mixed with roast pork and prawns, topped with a free range fried egg, served with extra peanuts, chilli, satay paste and lemon.  This was just perfect.

I can totally see why this was ranked so high on Trip Advisor.  I would recommend to anyone in the area.
