London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Travelling in 2014…

2014 is my year of travel, whether it’s the UK or somewhere further afield, it’s all travelling to me!

The partner in crime and I have some amazing trips plans so far and I’m going to give you a little peek into our plans!

First stop is Berlin in just over 3 weeks…

I’m heading there with 2 other friends as well as the partner in crime so this should be an amazing trip.  I’ve done lots of research on where to visit, where to eat and general tourist information so it’s made me really excited!  We are staying in an apartment right in the centre so expect lots of blog posts and tons of photographs!

February sees us heading to Longleat Safari Park for a weekend, this was my present to him for Christmas.

We have a two day park pass, and staying in a stunning hotel called Archangel where we will be having dinner in too!

June is a really hectic month! The first week will be spent at Brownsea Castle in Poole.

This is owned by John Lewis, and can only be visited by partners.  Their accommodation is always amazing, and with this being on it’s own island that you have to get a boat across too makes it even more amazing!  I literally can’t wait, you get so much for your money. Just hope the weather is good!

The last weekend in June is Glastonbury! I’m doing this with a group of friends, the partner in crime isn’t a fan of festivals!

I have no idea what the line up is or what to expect.  I’ve been to tons of festivals before but I’m expecting things to be out of this world!  It was the last festival on my list that I wanted to do before I get too old for camping!  I am SO excited!

The big holiday of the year is 2 weeks in Orlando, Florida.

I can’t think of a better place to celebrate Halloween, and the partner in crimes Birthday!  I would live in Disney if I could, there’s no where better on Earth! The partner is crime has only ever been to DisneyLand Paris so Orlando is going to blow his mind!

So here are our booked trips for 2014, I’m hoping to sneak in a few overnight stops around the UK if we can!

Are you going away this year?

Ooh, you’re off to Glastonbury! I am as well (well, hopefully – the Carnival club I’m a member of usually works there) – myself, Lily (from Lily Doughball) and SJ (from ShipShape and Bristol Fashion) are possibly hoping to organise a meet up on the Thursday inside the festival. It’s only a thought at the moment but I’ll let you know nearer the time if you’re interested! 🙂 x

Sounds like you have an amazing year of trips planned. Whereabouts do you stay in Florida? Me and my fiancé are planning to go to Orlando for our honeymoon 🙂

    • Hey, We are staying in the Art of Animation hotel 🙂 It’s a really decent price and looks good 🙂 When are you going? X

Oooh I hadn’t thought of checking the Disney website, thank you I’ll have a nosey at that tonight. So excited to go, I’ve been to the one in Paris but I bet the one in Florida is even better.

          • We got a decent price from them, and just buying the Universal tickets separate 🙂 x

  4. Wow, I’m so jealous of all your travel plans! Disney is the dream 🙂

If you like art/History I would recommend going in the Longleat House, and just a word of warning strap everything down on your car when you drive threw the monkey safari part ;D x
