London Marathon 2015

This year I went with a group of friends to watch the London Marathon, we sat out on the grass with our drinks and supported those crazy enough to run those famous 26.2 miles.

It was here I decided that I wanted to be part of the 2015 run, and I wanted to run for Anthony Nolan.

The next day as soon as I got into work I applied for a guaranteed place, I also applied for a ballot place just in case. I was a bag of nerves.

Then on 28th April my phone began ringing at my desk, I didn’t know the number, I’m always scared to answer these as I’m super fed up of PPI calls, but for some reason I did.

I GOT MY PLACE!

The training begins now, I’m not a great runner. I mean the furthest I have run is 3 miles and that was only last week.

These next 51 weeks will be a challenge!

Good luck with your training! Make sure you stick to your training no matter what the weathers like, I ran a half marathon last year and it was so tough because I wimped out of training when it was cold or wet.

    • I’ve got a plan and will defo stick to it 🙂 I think running in the rain could be fun haha x

Well done, I didn’t get there in time for a place! A huge good luck to you! I’m signed up for a 5k which seems incredibly daunting to a non runner like me! X

You’re going to love it! I did the same last year and ran it this year. It’s amazing. If you train hard you’ll have a great day. I’m so jealous!
