Havering and Essex with an Alternative Twist!

Royal Ascot 2014.

Sorry for the radio silence, I’ve been super busy since coming back from my week away and heading to Royal Ascot was part of the reason!  Trying to find a dress I felt happy in and hitting the gym (not as much as I should) to see if I could shed a few extra pounds!  I thought I’d share with you my outfit and a few bits about my day!

I had a massive stress the week before attending that my original dress wasn’t right for me and the dress I had then spotted online wasn’t suitable so I spent my lunch out on Oxford Street hunted and ended up in this…

It was from Miss.Selfridges and I thought it’d be perfect for dressing down with flats should I ever need to.  The hat was from part of them 18th Birthday outfit, yes I’m a hoarder, and the shoes were mums.  I felt great in my dress and luckily the partner in crime had a blue suit and tie to match!

The rest of the girls, oh and Glenn, looked amazing.  We had some amazing dresses between us!

This is the lovely bunch I work with, plus an sibling! I love this lot far too much for words and we don’t scrub up too badly!

We even spotted the Queen!

I came home £5.50 richer that when I went, including travel and drinking throughout the day, so I was rather happy and can’t wait to return next year!
