Firstly I must apologise for being so slack on my Marathon updates, it’s been far to long!
Lets start with the fun stuff… the fundraising! I am now well over half way, infact I’m rather close to being three quarters of the way there now!
If you would like to send a few pennies my way, I’d greatly appreciate it! You can do so here!
I’ve got a quiz night planned for March with my office, and have 2 ideas in the pipeline; one being car themed and one being food themed, of course! I will keep you updated with those!
Now the tough stuff… the training!
I went for my first run of the year last weekend and managed 12k! I’m so proud of myself considering the furthest I had run prior to that was a mere 5k! I have my next route planned; the dreaded 10 miles!
I’ve also won a place on the Silverstone Half Marathon with Adidas, and have been kindly given a press place on the Richmond Half Marathon! These are a week apart so I need to be in the best shape I can be! Best get out there and get a few more miles under my belt!
And lastly, the odd bits…
I was lucky enough to win the first ever London Marathon Dream Package! This means I’ve won £100 of Adidas kit, two nights in Central London plus food, transport on race day with VIPs, upgrade to the Green Start, entry to the after-party, grandstand tickets for two and a goody bag. These have been shared out between my parents and the chap! The hotel looks amazing!
When I was in America I bought a hell of a lot gym clothes to help me feel good about heading to the gym and it actually worked. It’s amazing how feeling good in your clothes can actually make you want to train!
