Heliot Steak House

When it comes to steak there really is only one place in London worth visiting!

The Heliot Steak House, obviously! The venue itself overlooks The Hippodrome Casino so it’s a pretty awesome spot if you love people watching like I do!

Upon arrival we recieved nothing but top class service, in fact, I’d do as far as saying it’s the best service I’ve received in a very long time! The staff all take the time out to ensure you’re happy, have plenty of food and drink, and they even took my coat to the cloakroom for me!

The menu was filled with such delights…

When out for dinner the chap and I try to make sure we order different foods so we can try more of the menu, so for starters I opted for the scallops. They pretty much are the key to my heart!

These could quite possibly be the best scallops I’ve ever had… BIG statement!!

The chap went for the smoked salmon and the portion was very genourous to say the least!

Both plates were left empty! I know I literally just said we both try and eat different foods when out, well, I lied a little, we both ordered the Sirloin Steak for main. He has his medium/rare and I, shamefully, have mine medium/well done.

With a glass of Rioja, sides of chips, spinach and season veggies; this dinner went down a right treat! Both our steaks were cooked to perfection and I have a lot of love for the saute spinach right now! We were given an abundance of dipping sauces for our chips, which we didn’t even need to ask for, and I think it’s little touches like that that can really make a meal!

We were rather full to the brim but obviously had to try desert when out waitress told us how good they were…

Mine was the chocolate tart, and the chaps was baked alaska…

I really can’t put into words how fabulous the food was, and how the service exceeded all expectations we had.

After dinner we popped down to have a little wander around the casino below, which was a rather nice was to walk off those extra calories!

If you are looking for steak then you need not look any further… The Heliot Steak House certainly lives up to their ‘Best Steak in London’ title and the rest of the food is amazing too!

We will be returning time and time again as they value for money is fantastic, the service is second to none and the food, well go and try it youself!
