Mother’s Day in London

I’ve compiled a little round up of a few lush places to treat your mum to on Mother’ Day next week!

First up is brunch at South Place Hotel. Expect a bustling, lively atmosphere and three-course menu showcasing the best of British seasonal ingredients, including dishes such as fillet of stone-bass, honey-glazed chicken wings, celeriac risotto, with a wild mushroom sauce. A feast for the eyes and ears as well as your taste buds, you’ll be treated to a side serving of live jazz from the Audioguido trio. Mum will be thoroughly spoiled with a complimentary neck and shoulder massage, and a goodie bag of hand-picked treats from a selection of the hotel’s London partners including; Artisan Jam and Honey supplier ‘Butterfly and the Bee’, East End soy candle specialists ‘East Wick’, and luxury perfumer and cosmetics producer ‘James Heeley’.

The K West Hotel has two options for mum this year;

Treat mum to a delicious Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea, paying tribute to the endless list of Rock ‘N’ Roll royalty who have stayed, played and misbehaved at K West including The Kinks, David Bowie and Amy Winehouse. Treats will include fresh ‘rolling scones’ with clotted cream & strawberry compote, as well as a selection of delectable cakes served on vintage record covers. The package will also include a glass of pink Champagne and an extra-special surprise gift for mum courtesy of K Spa.

Alternatively, treat mum to Afternoon Tea and her K-Spa surprise gift, before spending the rest of the day exploring the hotel’s award-winning spa. Take advantage of the twinkling hydrotherapy pool, sanarium, sauna, dry flotation tank, aromatic herbal steam room and the fully equipped K Fit.

And lastly, Fuller’s Inns are in full bloom this Mother’s Day with giving a little love to mums with a special gift.

Anyone booking a table at one of over a hundred Fuller’s pubs for Mother’s Day on March 6th will receive a complimentary bulb that will flower into a beautiful plant for Mum’s to enjoy as Spring approaches. Rachel Watson, Manager of The George IV in Chiswick, one of the pubs offering the gift, said: “Mothering Sunday is one of the friendliest days of the year, and we’ve already taken quite a few bookings from people looking to treat their mum on her special day. You can almost feel the love in the room and it always brings a smile to my face to see so many happy families spending time together.  “What better way to say thank you for being you than to take Mum out for a delicious Sunday lunch in a lovely Fuller’s pub, where the washing up is someone else’s problem!”

Where are you taking Mum this Mother’s Day?
