When it comes to going on holiday it doesn’t always have to be pricey!
In fact the lovely team over at Book Mallorca have pulled together the places in Mallorca to visit if you are a little tight on cash, but before I share their tips, I’m going to share a few facts on Mallorca, or Majorca as it’s also known.
Mallorca is the largest island in the Balearic Islands, which are part of Spain and located in the Mediterranean Sea. Like the other Balearic Islands of Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera, the island is an extremely popular holiday destination, particularly for tourists from Germany and the United Kingdom. The international airport, Palma de Mallorca Airport, is one of the busiest in Spain; it was used by 23.1 million passengers in 2014!
So if you’re looking for sunshine on a budget, then you’re best so head to Mallorca in April through to August, but June is the cheapest time to visit. September and October are the second cheapest but it’s quite prone to rain then!
There are 5 beaches in Mallorca so you’re bound to be able to find a sunbed without a towel on and catch a tan!
There are plenty of free attractions in Mallorca, so once you’re there you won’t have to spend a lot of money. Plus car hire and transport can be mega cheap too so you’re not stuck in one place the whole time, you have no reason not to explore!
If you’re staying in your own apartment you can save some pennies by not eating out every night, but when you do go out make sure you check out the above places so you don’t spend out of your budget!
How do you make a holiday on a budget work for you? Do you research much before you leave?
