The Essence of Essex is a photography competition being held by Firstsite, home of contemporary arts in Colchester.
If you want to enter it’s pretty darn simple….Upload your photographs here to join the online gallery and win prizes! It will run alongside Martin Parr – Work and Leisure, the first major photography exhibition to be held at Firstsite. So you can be making history with your photographs!

I’m off to sift through all of my photos to find my favourites to enter, I’m sure I have some better than this picnic! Maybe a sunset or something of a hidden gem, afterall I do take far too many photos!
