My Top 5 Weekend Breaks

As some of you know I will be in Marbella by the time you read this and it got me thinking about where I’ve really loved travelling to over the years and thought I’d share them with you!

Barcelona…

Barcelona is one of my favourite places, hands down. I’ve been so many times and always feel the need to go back! Visiting Nou Camp is always to of my list as I just love the feeling of being there, but I’ve never watched a match there… that’s an excuse to go back right!?

Madrid…

I thought we’d keep it in Spain and football themed with Madrid! It’s far less commercialised than Barcalona and far cheaper to eat and drink there too. We stumbled upon some great places to eat in off the beaten path and were never disappointed. Plus the oldest known restaurant in the world is there too and the food is great in there! Bernabeu Stadium is worth the visit too.

Amsterdam…

I loved it in Amsterdam, and not for the obvious reason either! I’m not a drugs user, even when there and there is so much other stuff to do. I’ve been twice and both trips have been different with site seeing, tattoo museums, different foods, and both times we never got bored.  There are so many museums and hidden areas to seek out.

Berlin…

Berlin is awesome! It’s actually top of my list of places I would go back to when I start to do so. It was so much more quirky than I had thought it would be. It’s obviously filled with history and all of that is more than worth seeing but Berlin has some insanely cool bars and restaurants too. If you’re ever there, try White Trash… It’s weird, gothic and do incredible burgers!

Copenhagen…

What a stunning place! Copenhagen was just incredible, and I would happily live there! The food was all amazing, although a little pricier than we had expected but worth it. Beer there is cheap so that makes up for it really! There is so much to do and see, but make sure you stop at Cocks & Cows for a bloody good burger.

Where do you like to take weekend trips too?
