5 Things That Made Me Happy This Week

I’ve recently seen that Penny has made a return to her blogging bringing with her a series that I’ve always enjoyed, 5 Things That Made Me Happy This Week, and I thought it’d be nice to get involved with every now and again.

So here goes…

My Relationship with Mike
Like all couples, we’ve had our ups and downs, but he’s now been part of my life for over two and half years, and in those short years we’ve had far more ups than downs. Mike is the most supportive person I’ve ever met and this weekend he spent almost 10 hours driving to and from a spa review that I had organised for the blog. The way he’s willing to give up his weekends always makes me so happy and thankful for having him around.

My Recent Weight Loss
I’m on a bit of a drive to get rid of these extra pounds I’ve gained over the past few months, and with last week being my first on a healthier food kick I was determined to shed a few pounds. And I did, I shed 3lbs and although it’s not a huge amount, I’m really pleased that my efforts were worth it. I’m hoping to get back into exercising shortly too once my pulled tendons in my ankle are healed!

Festival Plans
Last week saw a few little festival plans all come together which always makes me happy! I’m off to Benicassim in Spain with Rachel and the lovely team from Monarch have helped us with our flights so that is a great help and I can’t wait to fly with them for the first time! I’ve also been chatting to a lovely brand about making my headdress for Tomorrowland Unite in Malta, and it’s been given the green light. I’ve sent her my budget, my idea and the rest is in her capable creative hands!

Homemade Meals
Recently I’ve been trying to mail a few meals that we eat weekly, and I’ve finally got to the point where I’m happy with my chicken stir fry, beef stir fry, chilli con carne and spaghetti bolognese. I’m one of those that opens the cupboard and experiments with spices every time I cook but I think I’m happy with what I do and use for those few recipes! I think I need to try a few new recipes now I’m happy and they’ve got Mike’s approval!

My Photography
I’ve been really happy with how my photography has been improving lately, and over the past week, maybe even the past month I’ve had some really nice compliments from both PRs, friends and other bloggers. When other people notice you’re putting in more effort it makes such a difference and certainly warms my heart. It also makes me want to try even harder and really keep my readers and brands I work with happy.

What has made you happy this past week?

If you decide to join this series, write your post and share it with Suzy on her latest ‘5 Things…’ post to be added to her link up!

I only just discovered your blog after you added me to your Traverse list on Twitter this morning but will be popping back to read on a regular basis x
