London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Recent Event Update

Recently, I’ve been off to lots of lovely events so I thought I’d share a few snaps and what happened as some fantastic things do go on behind the scenes at blogger events!

Firezza

As you all know, I’m a big fan of Firezza asking experiencing it for the first time a few months back. When the Dean Street, Soho branch, their first sit down restaurant, opened I was obviously there with bells on!

The social eating space is huge, with benches lining the room, and smaller tables around the edges. You can view the kitchen from pretty much anywhere in the room which is great as the pizza making chaps are certainly great at it.

I was sat with a lovely bunch of bloggers and friends, and between us we shared three metres of pizza! That sounds like a hell of a lot but between us ladies, it was demolished pretty quickly. But, of course, before we started eating there were plenty of photos being taken!

I still highly recommend Firezza if you’re looking for fun, fast and delicious food! The guys behind it have such a great ethos to eating and totally understand value for money too!

Trek America

Straight from the Firezza event, I jumped on a bus with some buddies over to the Trek America event. I was mega excited for this as my Trek will be the highlight of my year, for sure! There was a super cool honky tonk band so getting me ready for dancing the nights away in Nashville! I was off alcohol still at this point so I missed out on the America beers but the fruit juice was good!

Upon arrival, we made our own Trek passports and were encouraged to travel through the sites and get stamps. We were also given three million dollars (sadly not spendable in real life) to gamble away! I’ve never been very good at casino style gambling under pressure and that night was no different!

I spent the rest of the evening trying out the super cool 360 Virtual Reality videos transporting me to the Grand Canyon, Zion, Yosemite and Monument Valley. The latter three all being on my list of places to see in the States at some point!

Such a great event filled with fab people, great concepts and I’m literally beyond excited for our Trek!

Homesense

More recently, I took a nice walk down to Charing Cross for the Homesense event. They were showcasing their incredibly cute and quirky summer range accompanied with yummy canapés and event better cocktails!

The new range has got me seriously wanting to buy our house this year so we have our own garden to fill with their new range. It’s so very me; picnic filled scenes with luxurious chairs and bold cushions. The stuff garden dreams are made of.

I even took part in the shelfie fun and I’m not going to lie, I think I need all of the items I place on my shelves, especially that blue flamingo notebook.

I’m a total homewares obsessive; since moving in with Mike over 18 months ago, I may have bought way more homewares than he was ready for! I just can’t help myself.

You can read Penny’s post about the event here.

Have you been to any fun events recently?
