As mentioned earlier this week, we stayed at Fishmore Hall in Ludlow for a weekend in May. We had the most amazing nights sleep with fantastic food, and today I’m sharing with you, our super relaxing few hours in the SPA Shell that resides behind the hotel in a wooden cabin.
This deceiving looking spa is home to four treatment rooms, which combine to create two couples rooms, a steam room and sauna, as well as an outdoor hot tub the overlooks the rolling fields and the Shropshire hills behind. During the summer there is also an oversized hammock on the decking that shares the same views.
On arrival, we changed into our swimwear and heading in to use the steam room and sauna before my treatment. Both rooms are really high tech where you’re able to change the lighting, the music and in the steam room have a little rainfall. I was used to large, sharing rooms of this variety at previous spas I’d visited so this was a welcome change. Mike and I could just chill out and chat without worrying about anyone else.
At just after 4pm I was taken through to my treatment room and instantly felt a little more relaxed! I had chosen the ELEMIS Garden of England Rose
Restore Massage that lasts 55 minutes. The lavishly hydrating massage was a blend of Rose, Camelina and Poppy seed oils leaves skin perfectly moisturised and feeling fantastic after.
I loved my massage, it was done so well and I was even allowed a little more pressure as I was still so achy after the London Marathon! I felt so relaxed and happy that I didn’t want it to come to an end. For the last
For the last 15 minutes, I was offered a head massage and I’m not going to lie, it was so good I drifted off into a light sleep as I felt so chilled out. I did apologise profusely to my wonderful masseuse as I was so embarrassed but it was just so good. 100% what I really needed.
My skin felt incredible after and since then I have kept up looking after my skin better. I’ve even started a nighttime routine which has shocked those closest to me as I’ve never done so before!
After my super soothing massage, I went back out to meet Mike in the relaxing garden. He was in his robe, reading a magazine and looking very zen! We then thought it was the time for us to chill in the hot tub, but not until I had tried the ice cold bucket! Video to follow of that shortly!!
I then made a speedy walk across the garden to the hot tub which was so needed after all of the cold water I’d just immersed myself in. We relaxed for a good half an hour observing the cows in the field behind the spa. They were just as relaxed as us and found us just as fascinating to watch too.
