London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Best Summer Days Out In and Around London for Couples *

We love spending time together up in London; there’s always a new pop up, there are more restaurants than you can ever imagine and so many fun and crazy things to do that you’re always guaranteed to have a good time. London is the best place for summer date days for couples and I have such a long list of places that I plan on taking Mike over the next few month. And as I’m feeling super nice today I’m going to share a few of them with you!

Walking Tours

I’ve become a bit of a craft beer fanatic so the Art and Craft Beer tour of Street Art combined with Craft Beer in Peckham would be well up our street, pardon the pun. We really enjoy taking photos of street art too so there would be plenty of chances on the tour to do just that. Hopping on the Overground to Peckham Rye station is where the tour starts, and you get to spend around an hour and a half wandering the streets, seeing the art and hearing about how the street art mirrors the great masters found in Dulwich Picture Gallery.

River Boat Cruise

Second, on the list is the jumping aboard the Alfred Le Roy to enjoy a canal boat cruise of the River Lea where there are plenty of cocktails are in order. There are some awesome sharing platters available on board that include British cheeses from Neals Yard Dairy, a selection of charcuterie cuts, along with E5 Bakehouse’s Artisan Breadsolives, and Rubies in the Rubbles Relishes which sounds bloody divine. There are plenty of departure times available from Peckham to weave this into you date day.

Indoors Dates

If you’re wanting to take your date day indoors, as with me I can find that my hayfever hates being outdoors all the time and my skin is too fair for all of the sunshine, but Dymista can help with hay fever, if you don’t want to miss out and hide inside but this next one on the list may just tempt you to duck indoors anyways. Queens Ice and Bowl has been providing year-round ice skating and entertainment for absolute donkeys years so a visit to throw some shapes on the ice and eat some MEATliquor is a must!

Rooftop Fun

Taking you back outside for the last on the list to Pitch in Stratford. A fairly new opening that offers open-air cinema, bars, plenty of street food and music to fill the air. I mean, anywhere that’s hosting a ‘Spice Up Your Life’ Party has got my full attention… well, maybe not for date day, but I will be dropping by with Mike as it’s a great place to stop on our journey home for something a little different. I love street food as it’s always so much more fun than just eating in one place!
