London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Mixing and Making Magic Cocktails at The Cauldron, London *

The Magical Cocktail Experience makes geeks dreams come true in an hour and forty-five minute ticketed class that is based all around the idea of using science and technology to bring our favourite parts from a few fantasy novels to life with a little magic. The experience is hosted at The Cauldron, just a few minutes walk from Dalston Kingsland Overground station.

Upon arrival, you are greeted at the bottom of the stairs to receive a robe and magic wand, yes, this Squibb actually got to wear a robe and I actually felt dead majestic in it! It reminded me a little of my graduation many moons ago!

So the wand isn’t just part of the dressing up, nope, it’s actually used a fair few times throughout the night. The first is to pour your own pint of Four Cauldrons, a limited edition beer brewed for The Cauldron by London’s Fourpure Brewing Co. which tasted so refreshing and had a slight hint of vanilla or to pour yourself a cocktail or mocktail.

You’re then paired up and led to your workstation, which is equipped with a cauldron, an instruction sheet for the first cocktail and all the bottled potion-making ingredients. The first potion was a lavender based mix with gin, potions and of course some magic. The potion matched my hair perfectly, to begin with, and then magically turned purple!

You then move onto your second potion where the cauldron comes into play, as does a secret cabinet! This time around you grind and prep the ingredients and follow instructions to set your cauldron smoking and make this crazy potion drinking.

Once you’ve mixed up both of potions, make sure you take some time to find the hidden door and explore! You’re looking for The Cauldron’s Magical Greenhouse, which was designed and built by the team from the London Grow so it uses all of its own superpowers to grow the botanicals used during your experience, which is so cool! They also have a few other surprises hidden in there too so don’t miss out!

We had such a great night with the team from Love Pop-Ups London and I think we all look pretty dapper in our robes!

Classes include all materials and supplies, and are £29.99 per ticket and it’s for over 18s only. You can book your tickets here.
