Refresh Your Kitchen In Three Simple Steps

I don’t know about you, but I love to redecorate. There’s just something about starting anew that feels jammed packed with possibilities. Of course, redecorating can be, especially when it comes to the kitchen with all those built-in cabinets, large appliances, and the plumbing to worry about. That is why sometimes I opt for a refresh instead. A topic you can get my guide to in the post below.

A Lick of Paint

You may just think that when it comes to painting your kitchen, the only option you have are the walls. This absolutely is not the case, though.

Of course, you are most welcome to refresh the walls with a coat of paint, but there’s so much more you can do as well. In fact, it is entirely possible to update your cabinets by covering the doors in chalk paint, something that can give your kitchen a whole new look with minimal cost and effort.

You can even get special paint now that covers over tiles as well, meaning that you can refresh your backsplashes and even entire walls! Now, that certainly is easier and cheaper than taking them all off and replacing them one by one.

Change Things Around

Next, you can actually make a big difference in the aesthetics in your kitchen by just changing things around a bit.

One way of doing this is to look at the gadgets that you currently have out on display on the counter and replace them with others you already have. For example, if you aren’t using your blender that much, why not replace it with a something like a coffee machine instead?

Alternatively, you may want to look at the smaller appliance you have in your kitchen like your microwave and replace them with a more pleasing option. In fact, you can do so relatively cheaply now with things like these microwave deals that are available. You can even get brightly coloured models, making it super easy to get something that fits in with your kitchen refresh colour scheme.

Finally, when it comes to changing things up for a refresh, bear in mind that you probably have quite a few attractive serving plates and pieces of crockery just sitting in a cupboard. Of course, this is something that you can take out and display, perhaps in a dresser or plate rack that can provide a novel aesthetic to your kitchen.

Change Out The Textiles

Last of all, if you are looking to refresh your kitchen instead if redecorating it fully you can make a massive difference by changing up the textiles that you have on display. Here we are talking about your curtains and blinds, and even the teas towels that you use.

Of course, these are items that can usually be picked up relatively cheaply. Although if you are feeling creative, you may want to have a go at making your own. Something that can help you to ensure that your refresh stays low cost, but looks impressive too.
