London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Roomzzz, Manchester *

By the end of this year, I will have stayed in over 10 different hotels, so it’s safe to say I travel a fair bit and I do love finding out about new places to stay. Most recently the chap and I took a trip up to Manchester to try out the service that Roomzzz had to offer and we were, quite frankly, blown away!

To start with the walk from Manchester Picadilly station is a few mins, 10 at a push, so we had got from London to the hotel in less than 3 hours which I think is great!

Upon arrival the service was second to none; cheery, genuine and made us feel very welcome. We were up on the third floor in a Grande Studio which comes with a wall mounted HD TV, Deluxe double bed with super comfy pocket sprung memory foam mattress that we slept so well in, a separate soft seating area with leather sofa, kitchen including dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, and hob which made tidying up easy as we popped all our glasses in the dishwasher, kitchen utensils provided for if you want to stay in and eat or maybe grab a take away,  the complimentary tea and coffee was filled for us both mornings,  two ensuite rain showers, yes two, complimentary toiletries which smelt divine, desk & dining table so you can keep work and dinner separate, a direct dial phone that allows you to call anywhere in the UK for free,  an iron and ironing board which always come in handy after carting a suitcase around, a hairdryer to save space in said suitcase and, of course, air conditioning.

The location of the hotel was perfect for wandering over to the Northern Quarter where we spent most of our time as that’s where most of the quirky food stops are! We did have to hop on a bus to head over to the Sea Life Centre but the bus stop was super close the hotel and it was quite nice seeing some of the sights of Manchester from the bus. We certainly didn’t have enough time to see it all!

Roomzzz over tea and coffee at all hours in the reception area, and of a morning they do a grab & go breakfast consisting of pastries, fruit and juices but our bed was so comfy we didn’t ever make it up in time to grab those! Whoops!

Some of the things we loved about staying at Roomzz were the attention to details; behind our bed was a long sofa so you could make the most of out the many windows around the room, there were two shower heads in the huge shower to save time when you’re both getting ready, obviously, the little note saying you can have fresh milk delivered to room if we didn’t want to use the tiny hotel cartons you always get, and finally, our favourite bit, the phone call we received to make sure we had settled in and the room was up to standards.

The staff constantly went above and beyond to ensure we were happy, had places to visit and that our bags were looked after whilst we shopped as our train was later in the afternoon and we had to check out.

We have promised to return to Manchester as we didn’t get to see all we wanted in our short time there and we will be return to Roomzzz without a doubt.

Have you ever stayed in a Roomzzz hotel before?
