London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Make 2019 the Year you Explore the World

This is a collaborative post.

There’s nothing I want more right now than to just jump on a plane and travel as far and as wide as I can but alas, if I want to buy a house then this is a no can do for me, so I think my wonderful readers need to do it for me so I can live vicariously through you! There are so many places I want to visit so if I share them here with you, then you can book away and then let me know when you’re going so I can be really jealous keep track!

Vietnam

First up on my list is Vietnam with Rickshaw Travel as they have some of the best itineraries I’ve seen for that area! The Taste of Vietnam tour is one that really caught my eye as we all know how much I love food! For thirteen days you go from tasty street food to Chinese junk boats and the tangled side-streets of former Saigon before travelling north towards atmospheric Hanoi. I mean, who doesn’t want to try that?! You get taken around Saigon on a vintage Vespa which is a dream of mine and there are even cookery classes along the way which sound incredible!

Japan

Another country that is so high on my list is Japan. I can’t even tell you how long I’ve wanted to go there for, and Rickshaw travel do tours there too! I think if you’re new to Japan like I would be, a Japan in a Nutshell tour would be really appealing. You get to take in three of Japan’s most famous and fascinating cities on a 10-day itinerary so it doesn’t mean too much time off work and gives you time to do your own thing if you want a two-week holiday too. The trip starts in Tokyo, and you’ll also travel to Hakone and Kyoto to get a taste of Japanese city life. The thought of experiencing history, the unique modern culture and amazing cuisine along the way is pretty much everything I want from trip.

Sydney

Momentarily stepping away from my Asian travel obsession, I’d also love to visit Australia. After Mike’s brother living out there for a year and talking to highly of it, I think we need to make a visit. I’ve seen a Surf Camp and Development Course on the Oyster Worldwide website and I’m so drawn to that. I love to surf but it’s been quite a few years since I’ve got on a board and when in Australia you have to go surfing! A few days course thrown in while we sightsee and eat plenty of good sounds like the recipe for one darn good trip, don’t you think?

Singapore

And we are straight back to Asia! I really need to visit Singapore as so many friends and relatives have been there recently that I have serious FOMO (Fear of Missing Out!). It looks so futuristic and I’ve heard nothing but good things about it that I’m really drawn to doing a tour there. Since doing out Trek America tour in 2017, tours have really appealed to me as you get to see so much with a tour guide that can show you things you may never find yourself.

So if any of you are heading to any of these places this year please drop me a line!
