Meet the Team…

Haydy is the ‘Founder’ of the Havering & Essex Indie Support group and is the face behind the social media accounts, workshop planning and general admin.

She has a background in Digital Marketing with over 11 years of experience working with household names such as Currys PC World, Nespresso, GHD, Simply Health, Cheapflights, Culture Trip, DogFest and most recently CrimeCon UK.

Her specialities lie in organic social media marketing, content writing, SEO, link building and event management but is known to throw her hand to anything sent her way as she loves a challenge.

Haydy’s hobbies include trips to the local micropub, taking photos of anything and everything, petting every dog she meets and running Squibb Vicious.

Mike is the hands-on creative that dips in with photography and videography as he has the patience of a saint for making everything perfect. If there’s a preset you want on Lightroom; he’s your man. If there’s a transition you want in a video on Premiere Pro; he’s your man. If there are issues with your layers in Photoshop; he’s your man.

He doesn’t come from a creative job role, but over the past few years has dedicated every waking minute to teaching himself everything he knows about photography and videography.

His day job is a lot more numbers focused and although he may not admit it, he is 100% the best Macro writer you will ever have the privilege of meeeting.

Mike’s hobbies include making chillstep tunes and uploading them to Soundcloud, taking the camera out on long walks, drinking craft Stouts and attending boot camp classes to keep fit.

Lizi, despite not being an Essex or Havering resident has stepped in to help out on all things paid media. She’s the queen of Facebook, to say the least.

Her current role is a forward-thinking and strategy led PR and Social Media Manager at a well-known marketing agency up t’north. Her key day to day activities includes having to develop social strategies, run creative campaigns across all social channels and implement paid media activity for a variety of clients.

Lizi’s background spans over 6 years of working in, both, agencies and in-house so she has quite a wealth of knowledge! Some of her clients have included leading travel brands, financial services, confectionery and healthcare.

In her spare time, she runs Glasses Girl, a lifestyle blog, spending time trying all the local bars and restaurants in Leeds and ice skating!
