Recently Toad in the Hole has pretty much became the key to my heart, and Clifton Sausage won me over fair and square.
The choice of sausage was incredible, something for everyone, and the mash (spring onions included) was perfection. I can’t put into words how good the onion gravy was either! This surely was heaven in food form.
Our waitress was fantastic, helping us with what to order and recommending a few sides. She was certainly right when she told us how good the Chili Green Beans were. My other other who isn’t a veggie eater actually ate them! That is certainly saying something!
The pricing was very good for the portion size, and the menu had a lot of variety, mostly being sausages, but still a lot of different meals to chose from.
Sadly there wasn’t enough space for desert, which really isn’t like me!
I would whole heartedly recommend going here if you’re ever in Bristol.
