The Butcher, Amsterdam.

Whilst in Amsterdam I couldn’t let the quest for the best burger come to a stand still, so we asked our hotel concierge for his best ideas of where to head.  We ended up in The Butcher.

After wandering around the famous Albert Cuyp Market we thought the time had come to indulge ourselves in what had been labeled the burger in Amsterdam.  We ordered the beef hot dog, ‘who let the dogs out’ and the cheese and bacon burger known as the daddy.  WOW is all I can say.  I’m sure these are now in my top 5 burgers.

The flavours were incredible, the presentation was basic but really suited the bar, and the staff were really friends.  They have free Wi-Fi in there too, which isn’t unusual for Amsterdam, but from us here in London, we loved it!   The meat was cooked perfectly, and the sauces inside were so tasty.  The bun was of a great consistency and the salad was really fresh.

If you’re ever holidaying in Amsterdam, make sure you make this top of your to do list.  They do have a sit down restaurant hidden out back so if you call up and book,. you’ll in for a surprise.
