This weekend the partner in crime and I headed into central London to go to Madame Tussauds with our Merlin Passes. A Merlin Pass lets into as many Merlin owned venues as you want over a year for a lump sum. We got lucky during January and after three visits we have got more than our money back!
We were a little disappointed by the size of the queue and not being allowed in the VIP entrance as Merlin Pass holders should be, but I will let it slip this time!
It was packed but we grabbed a good few photos with our favourite stars including Cheryl Cole, Lewis Hamilton and Boris Johnson! There was quite a crowd around a lot of the stars so we missed a few out but with our pass I’m sure we will go back this year to make sure we see it all!
Being the scaredy cat I am we missed the Chamber of Horrors too, I can’t deal with actors and horror! Although there were lots of children that were coming out looking fine! I need to grow up a little!!
The Marvel Super Hero 4D Experience was pretty cool too. Throwing you about, having Wolverine ‘scratch’ at you with his claws and the Hulk ‘sneeze’ on you all in the space of about 5 minutes.
It’s a pretty good day out, but I’d recommend going midweek to avoid the queues and get to see everyone there.
Good to hear you enjoyed your visit. I walk by the long queues often on my way to the Baker Street Station and always wonder if it’s worth it. It’s not my kind of venue so I don’t think I’ll be visiting it anytime soon.
I think it’s a lot of fun with children, but I’m out growing it now! It’s expensive at £30 an adult too!
