York is actually awesome!
There is an abundance of things to, and we managed to get a hell of a lot done! We purchased the York Pass which is a ‘smart card’ – which allows you cash free entry into your choice of over 30 attraction. You get a guide book that tells you about all the places you are able to visit and how much you’re saving with your York Pass.
We did a fantastic tour around York Brewery, and tasted some of their beer. We even bought some home as gifts. Our tour guide was really great, and filled us with knowledge.
We did the York Chocolate Story and made these lollipops! They were so tasty and we learnt a hell of a lot about chocloate, we got to try a fair amount too! York really is the home of chocolate!
We visited the Roman Baths and I got to pretend I was a Roman Solider. This was a super cute venue hidden under a pub, and so informative!
We obviously went to see York Minster, and the Crypt below. Such a stunning building filled with great information and beautiful stained glass windows.
With our pass we also went to Barley Hall, Clifford Tower, Fairfax House, JORVIK Viking Centre, Merchant Adventurers Hall, Treasurers House, and York Castle Museum.
We had such a fun packed two days, and would really recommend the York Pass if you’re venturing that way!
