The Naughty London tour is all about grime, dabauche activities and down right filth; and I bloody LOVE all the nastiness that London has stirred up over the last few decades. When I saw on the website that you’d learn about prostitutes, opiates, dodgy surgeons, naughty cardinals, bear fighting, the plague and Shakespeare, I literally couldn’t say no!
Best LDN Walks is run by the lovely Charlotte, she’s a bit of a one (wo)man band really; she does the planning, the waking, and is the brains behind the venture! Here’s what she says about the company ‘LDN Walks are a new walking Tour concept to hit the capital. We’re fun, very lively and full of beans. Our tours are aimed at the young, discerning travellers and locals on the hunt for a quirkier and knowledgeable skip round the city revealing stories from the backstreets in introducing you to the places and people who make London what it is today.’
We were greeted at Heel Tap with Prosecco and amazing Sausage Rolls from The Ginger Pig, and after we had devoured we headed out on the road.
We learnt so so much, but I’m not going to share too much as I want you to go on the tour yourself! I will let you into a few little secrets though, the images above are from Prostitutes Graveyard, London Bridge used to have houses on and there have been a few naughty Cardinals!
I have to agree it’s one of the quirkiest walks I’ve ever been on, and I can’t wait to go on a few more! So this comes really highly recommended and for £10 it’s an absolute blast, but if sex and drugs aren’t quite you’re thing then there’s the Royal Walk, the Westminster Tour and of course, a Haunted Walk so take your pick!
