Last week before we jetted off to Copenhagen we were lucky enough to be invited to the launch party of Proud Wonderland at Proud Camden.
Upon arrival we found this quirky character, better known as The Mad Hatter, on his search for Alice. Yes you guessed it, Proud Wonderland is Alice in Wonderland themed which nicely coincides with the British Library’s current exhibition as well as Tim Burton’s impending follow-up film ‘Alice through the Looking Glass’, and it being 150 years since Lewis Carroll released the original!
We set up camp in the Queen of Hearts VIP Throne Room under the heaters as it had been a bit of a nippy walk there from Kings Cross!
No, that’s not us being anti-social, we were looking up facts on Alice in Wonderland as I’ve never seen any of the films! Bit of a shocker as I’m a huge Disney and Tim Burton fan!
We drunk Kopperberg cider and chatted away to those sitting around us, which was lovely, and taking in all of the crazy goings on around us! There was the Queen of Hearts on stilts, Alice serving pizza and that Mad Hatter causing havoc.
We did make a stop off at the photo booth that will be there all summer, but I won’t be sharing those photos here; the chap didn’t suit the orange wig and my bunny ears didn’t turn me into the Playboy Bunny I had hoped!!
We loved our time at Proud Wonderland and were gutted we had to leave due to our early morning flight but we will be making a return to Proud Wonderland for sure as I’ve heard there are some potions that need drinking!
Jelous, this seems like my dream!
