As you will have seen, I’ve recently spent a rather lush twenty-four hours at Hoar Cross Hall Hotel and Spa with Hayley and a fair few of those hours was spent in the stunning spa.
The spa has so much on offers including a saltwater vitality pool and a hydrotherapy pool which are both 30C and of a consistent height perfect for swimming a few lengths in. The saltwater vitality pool is surrounded by a heavenly volcano and jet massage pools, a starlit cave and two luxury whirlpools. The hydrotherapy pool has gentle currents and body massage jets, which makes it the perfect for soothing away those aches and pains.
There’s a fabulous aqua massage therapy section that we spent a fair amount of time in that included revitalising body jets, tranquil foot massagers and soothing shoulder massagers. There were even Kneipp pools that I hadn’t seen before that provide a refreshing, stimulating and circulation-boosting foot spa experience that I really enjoyed using. There was also a plunge pool that I wimped out of using!
The aqua detox area of the spa offers saunas, steam rooms and saunariums. And for those of you that aren’t sure of the difference, like I wasn’t, the dryer and more intense heat of the saunas makes them perfect for cleansing your pores and releasing toxins, the steam rooms are more humid and brilliant for relieving the symptoms of respiratory conditions such as asthma or bronchitis, and the aquariums provide the combined benefits of both.
And no, I’m done yet, we made use of the Nordic Suite which has four different zones are designed to stimulate different senses, leaving me feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and relaxed! I loved the salt inhalation room as I had heard such good things about these before as they help clear up chesty coughs, sort out your breathing and also revitalises your skin.
After adventuring around the entire spa, Hayley went off to have a scalp and shoulder massage so I headed down to one of the many relaxation areas to have half an hour to myself which was really quite nice having been travelling around so much recently!
The spa offers such a large array of packages that really will suit all pockets; starting from just £44pp which is available Wednesdays and Thursdays only from 6:00pm – 9:30pm or Monday to Friday at 8.30am – 12.30pm or 1.30pm – 5.30pm and a full day package will set you back £119. All packages offer a welcome drink and an introduction to the spa, use of a luxury robe, fluffy towels and pampering spa products in the changing rooms with access to everything in the spa, including hydrotherapy pools, Jacuzzis, Nordic Heat & Ice Suite, all the relaxation areas and Sanctum, plus you also have access to the gym, and regular exercise and relaxation classes.
I’d head back in a heartbeat as I left feeling so relaxed which, after visiting at the start of December, certainly got me in a great frame of mind for the rest of the month!
Very helpful article indeed. I’ve learned many tips & tricks from this post. Thanks to the blogger. I’ll be waiting for a great post like that in near future.
