As your wedding plans start to fall into place, from finding that perfect dress to ordering your wedding rings, your thoughts will start to turn to that ideal honeymoon destination.
A honeymoon is the chance to do something special, but sometimes it can be one thing too many to try and decide on whilst you are juggling everything else. When you are making decisions about venues, catering and guest lists, the honeymoon plans should offer a little light reprieve, so let us talk you through a few ideas.
We want to share with you 3 wonderful honeymoon destinations, honeymoon packages for everyone, whether you are looking for culture, sunshine, thrills or a mixture of all three.
It is hard to top Paris as a honeymoon destination. Paris encompasses all things romantic and it’s at the top of the list for many couples, especially here in the UK as it is so accessible. You can be in Paris in around an hour or so from most UK airports so even if you only have a few days to enjoy a honeymoon, this destination is totally doable.
There are so many sights that you must see in Paris that the difficulty will be fitting everything in. You could stroll down the Champs-Elysees, cruise down the Seine, marvel at the Sacre Coeur and meander through the cobbled streets of Montmartre. Then there are the museums, so many to choose from, you could actually spend days just soaking all of them in.
Top it all off with a meal within the sights of the Eiffel Tower at night and it will be difficult to imagine a more perfect honeymoon moment.
This one is on so many wishlists that it definitely needs to be considered as a top honeymoon destination.
Orlando offers sunshine and thrills and it is within a couple of hours drive of some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. It works well as a multicentre destination, so you might like to hit the theme parks and attractions for one week and then move down to the beaches or Miami for the second week for a slower and more relaxing pace.
In Orlando, the main attraction is, of course, Disney World. Disney World hosts thousands of weddings and honeymoons every year so you would be in good company here and as it is your honeymoon, you could justify a blowout holiday staying on Disney property at one of their Deluxe resorts for extra perks and treats.
With its winding canals and historic buildings, Venice can sometimes appear to be untouched by the twenty-first century.
You can sip coffees in St Mark’s Square, gaze upon the Bridge of Sighs, walk across the Rialto Bridge and wander around the Doge’s Palace. No trip to Venice is complete without a gondola ride and you will be amazed by how low those bridges are and the skill of your gondolier. The islands of Murano and Burano are nearby and worth a day trip as you have to take in the beautiful glassworks.
You will not want to leave the City of Bridges and you simply cannot leave without buying a mask.
