There have been plenty of fashion trends that have come and gone over the years which have been influenced by every walk of life. Occasionally a fashion trend comes around that proves to be unlike the others and continues to maintain popularity long after the trend has been and gone. Others, however, do not meet the same fate and thankfully don’t stay round long enough to leave a lasting impact and a desire for people to continue the trend, that’s right, we are looking at you, concealer lips!
There are too many tired fashion trends to try and present a look at those that have been and gone, so we will focus on 5 that really have stood the test of time and continued to grow in popularity despite their time being long past.
The iconic little black dress has been a staple in many a wardrobe for decades. Black clothing no longer represents mourning, now the little black dress makes the statement that you mean business when you enter the room. What makes this such a timeless piece is down to the simplistic beauty and the ability to hide flaws. It has long been known that black can make you appear slimmer and gives a lengthening appearance, which can help make your legs look longer by flattering your figure. Pair this with some killer heels and a clutch bag and you are ready for whatever the night can present you.
Jeans are a staple in any wardrobe and can take a mundane and boring outfit and make it a great outfit. When it comes to choosing a style that will never go out of fashion you have a few choices available: skinny fit are a great choice to flatter your figure and show off your shape, straight leg are a stylish looking relaxed fit, but the most timeless and iconic are the classic mom jeans. These high waisted jeans have made regular appearances over the last 30 years, and once again they are at the peak of popularity proving that this style is one to last! Pair these with some trainers, a cropped t shirt and your favourite accessories to add some variety to your outfits.
The tradition of adding your own personalisation to clothes has a long history as varied as the personalisation’s that can be seen on clothing. A classic representation of personalised clothing is the tie dye t shirt, which was originally used as an anti-war statement, but in the years since has become a staple in the fashion world. Now tie dye might not be to your taste, but personalised clothing could be, as the only limitations are your own imagination. If you want to create some personalised clothing check out a personalised clothing manufacturer like Banana Moon Clothing.
The classic blazer is a staple in many wardrobes and for good reason, as this piece can look good with almost any outfit, whether you are going for a formal dress code, or something a little more casual. A tailored blazer is a great way to show off your figure and look professional, especially when paired with a pair of cigarette trousers and heels.
Who doesn’t love a band t shirt? Traditionally worn by “rockers” and bought when attending music concerts, but now fully adopted as part of mainstream fashion, with many being available for purchase from high-street retailers. If you are in to vintage clothing these will be perfect for you with many being available in vintage shops, and charity shops if you are lucky enough to snag one, and the best thing about buying your band t shirts from second hand retailers is its very unlikely you will see someone else wearing the same t shirt, which only reinforces the reasons that these will never go out of fashion.
Great post!! You have define best five fashion trends, ann it will help me. Thanks for sharing this.
Yeah. I agree with you. There are a few fashion trends that will not go out of fashion. The traditions always will remain and so are some of the trends. I am a black advocate and I am happy to know that black is never going to be out of fashion. Most of my dress corrections are in black.
