So 2012 was one amazing year; I achieved a hell of a lot, did some of the most amazing things, ate incredible food and I’m going to give you guys a little summary just incase you missed anything!
A whole year a go I began working as an intern for Quintessentially, and now I’m fully employed, loving it and couldn’t be happier. Working here has given me some amazing opportunities including a press trip on the Orient Express, various afternoon teas, big nights out, cocktail testing and meeting an awesome group of people. I’ve had my name printed in books they have published, work used on the internet, and best of all, spurred me on to start this blog. I’m quite a lucky little lady.
In April, the Squibb household acquired two 8 week old Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies, this has to be on the best moments of 2012. They’ve brought so much happiness, do the cutest things and drive us all crazy!
Having a private pod on the London Eye was also pretty special in late October, courtesy of my partner in crime. We had our own tour guide, a bottle of cold champagne and truffles. Simply divine.
2012 was also the year my obsession with Black Milk began, over the past few months I have collected 6 pieces and my cravings are far from settled, not that my bank balance enjoys it!
I’ve been lucky enough to eat in some pretty amazing places including Inamo, which is Pan Asian cuisine with interactive tables, Madisons Tapas overlooking St.Paul’s Cathedral, Clifton Sausage, the best toad in the whole you will ever eat, Cervecería Catalana that serves the best tapas in Barcelona, and obviously the food on the Orient Express was out of this world.
I attended so many fantastic gigs including Jonny Craig, Ed Sheeran, South West Four, Skrillex, Nero, and Bass Culture to name just a few. Probably one of the best years for live music that I’ve ever had.
Then there were a few lovely breaks including a wedding in Cyprus, a hotel review in Bristol, a few nights in Paris, and a birthday trip to Barcelona. I stayed in some amazing hotels, was treated like royalty, and loved every minute. Minus having a burnt back on show at the Wedding!
I’ve had memories that I won’t be forgetting in a hurry with some amazing people. Lets hope 2013 is even better!
