Piccola Cucina arrives in London.

New York’s favourite Sicilian restaurant is opening in London this October in Notting Hill.

Piccola Cucina has built up a great reputation in New York, Miami, Italy and Ibiza for serving deliciously authentic food in a homely, cosy setting. Aficionados include Michael Bublé, Vince Vaughan, Adam Sandler and Paris Saint-Germain player Zlatan Ibrahimović.  It’s a bit like eating very well in your own front room, if your front room is in a Sicilian stucco-clad house decorated with hand-made tiles and locally-crafted dressers.

Piccola Cucina is located at 186 Kensington Park Road, W11, and the opening is scheduled for October 11^th 2014.

This intimate and delightful restaurant has been brought to the UK by Andrea Reitano, an Italian restaurateur whose first restaurant opening in the UK, earlier this year, was the highly successful Assunte Madre, an Italian fish restaurant in Mayfair which The Financial Times confidently claimed, “made him the envy of restaurateurs everywhere”.*

“Despite the fact that there are thousands of Italian restaurants across London, it’s still very hard to find somewhere with the quality and authenticity that I look for.  I know that for those looking for quality Italian food prepared and served with passion in a more casual setting, there’s still plenty of room,” says Andrea.

Fresh food from Italy will be delivered daily to the restaurant to ensure true Italian flavours from the oil to the coffee, and the menu will include Sicilian, Italian and Mediterranean specialties including Tuna Tartare with Avocado; Grilled Involtino of Sicilian Swordfish; Pasta a la Norma with aubergine and tomatoes; Vermicelli with Mediterranean Lobster, and grilled meats.

The wine list focusses on quality regional Italian wines from £25 upwards.

Piccola Cucina will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
