London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Wasabi, Lakeside.

Did you know that Wasabi has ventured out of London into Essex?!

It’s true, Wasabi in now available in Lakeside, which made a perfect quick Saturday night dinner that was uber tasty at the same time!

Before I start on the food, I’m going to share a little bit about Wasabi as a brand in case you’ve not heard of it before…

The Wasabi story began in 2003 when we opened our first branch in Embankment, London.  Kim, a fresh food market trader in Camden, wanted to share his passion for fresh, authentic, handmade Japanese sushi and bento with ‘sandwich loving’ Londoners – he knew they’d love it.

With a bright, clean, modern Japanese style, Wasabi presented a new lunchtime alternative of sushi, sashimi, California rolls and authentic Japanese dishes and ten years on Kim is still innovating contemporary convenience food and still evoking the Wasabi way!

I opted for the Chicken curry yakisoba bento, and the chap, as ever, had the Chicken katsu curry bento.

I also tried one of the Tempura prawns and it was delicious!

I would highly recommend Wasabi as a lunch time stop if you’re in London, but if you’re shopping in Lakeside then make Wasabi your port of call for a delicious meal!

I even took inspiration from Wasabi and created my own meal…

I bleeding love wasabi, it’s pretty much always my go to place for a quick bite to eat, made easier by the fact that they are literally everywhere in London. My go to is their chicken katsu curry mmm… x
