Today we have the lovely Leanne from Broke in the Big Smoke sharing her top pamper night tips:
It’s cold out and it’s still getting dark at 4pm so it’s the perfect time of year to treat yourself to a bit of a pamper session! Here are my top tips for the perfect pamper evening:
Pour yourself some wine (or a soft drink if you prefer) into a fancy wine or champagne glass – I don’t know about you but I much prefer drinking out of something with a stem rather than a boring water glass.
Start running a bath – don’t forget to add bubbles! Or if you’re a Lush fan a bath bomb or two, they make the water super fun. Light some candles – as many as you can all over the house especially around the edges of the bath! Put on your favourite music – for me that’s Taylor Swift but sometimes I like to listen to
Put on your favourite music – for me that’s Taylor Swift but sometimes I like to listen to plinky plonky music, that’s the technical term right?
Apply a face mask – do this just before you get in the bath and you won’t make so much of a mess with it. Face masks are great for deep cleaning and unclogging pores leaving your skin looking great.
Ditto to using a hair mark – a lot of us forget that our hair needs just as much loving as our skin does but it’s true and if you get in the habit regularly your hair will be in the best condition ever.
Get comfy – use a gorgeous smelling body lotion and put on your comfiest, softest pyjamas. Don’t worry about what you look like; the goal here is comfort not style.
Watch your favourite movie – for me that means chick flicks like Clueless, Mean Girls or Pitch Perfect.
Give yourself a manicure – I find that soaking in the tub really makes my nails easier to work with so give yourself a quick manicure (and a pedicure too if you’re feeling it) while chilling out in front of the telly. Don’t forget those base and top coats!
Have an early night – we are all so busy, all of the time that it can be hard to make sure you’re getting enough sleep so I fully believe we should all treat ourselves to an early night every once in a while.
What are your tips for a great pamper evening? Anything major I’ve missed out that you like to indulge in?
Suddenly, my to-do list is the last thing on my mind and all I want to do is have a pamper night!
Sounds wonderful. Might have to give this a go!
