So many of our friends have got engaged recently so that means a lot of stag dos for Mike and Hen Parties for myself! We’ve had a few between us this year too, with Mike going to Benidorm and Nottingham, and I jetted off to Marbella. There’s a few in the pipeline for next year too; one being a trip to Tenerife!
This got us talking about what we want to do on ours; we both said by the time comes around for us, we want to move and buy a house first, everyone will be bored of all the parties and we will be that little bit older, we would both go for something a little closer to home than those we’ve been on this year!
I’ve always said I want my hen do to be more like a stag do, as I’m far from girlie and certainly don’t want all the pink hen do tackiness that comes along with most! I’d like to track a trip down to Brighton with my nearest and dearest and do something fun like go karting, laser quest or even a track day – a bit like what I did for my birthday last year…
We’d then head back to our hotel to glam up and have some pre-drinks moving on to a burger bar for dinner. Did you expect anything else from me?! After dinner, if we fancied throwing some sick shapes, then there are plenty of bars and clubs in Brighton that we could head to. With this being close to home, cheaper and nothing too crazy it means that our mums & aunts can come along too as it’s nothing that they can’t join in with!
Mike has said similar too; he doesn’t want a stag abroad and doesn’t want to be having a second local one just so that our dads can go along. I certainly can’t imagine my dad in Benidorm but I can see him enjoying something car or football related.
