Waaaaaay back in August buyagift sent me some vouchers to have some fun with, and we certainly monkied around at Go Ape, but our other voucher was for the Orbit Slide at Stratford.
Queue the issues beginning; the slide is only open til 5pm and I work til 5.30pm so a weekday wasn’t doable. So then we’d book for a weekend right? Sadly not, it was so booked up that we couldn’t find a date to go. We waited and waited and then we finally found one on Saturday 17th December just in time for my birthday, but after checking the weather it was going to be foggy so there wasn’t much point in climbing that high to see nothing.
We then made the decision to trade our voucher in and use it against something we could do in the fog and on that date for my birthday still.
We opted for the See London by Night bus tour and despite it being cold and foggy, we had a great 90 minute trip!
From Big Ben and Tower Bridge to Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus with a few other stops along the way you get some really great photo opportunities.
I’m a huge fan of London tours and seeing London of a night as it’s so stunning, so this tour was the perfect combination.
Our tour guide was awesome and filled us with so many new facts and figures. Ones I’m going to be storing up and sharing with people on our walks around London. But did you know that Harrods is lit up by 12,000 bulbs all year round; they’re not there just for Christmas, although the Christmas trees are only there for the festivities. I won’t share anymore with you as you should do the tour as it’s mega affordable and a great night time activity.
There are daily departures during the winter (October to March) at 19.30 and 21.20 and during the summer (April to September) they depart 19.30, 20.00, 20.30, 21.15, 21.45 and 22.15 from the allocated bus stop in Green Park next to the Ritz hotel on Piccadilly.
We had a great night out and highly recommend this tour.
