So, today I have another Christmas themed cocktail for you in the shape of the Quarter Deck Cocktail. I’ve never had Sherry before but felt that it was something that every Christmas should have so I jumped on the band waggon. I’m also big into rum at the moment so why not mix the two and try this…
Ingredients:
45ml Rum
15ml Harveys Bristol Cream Sherry
Juice of 1/2 Lime
Method:
Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
How simple! I’m all about basic cocktails with minimal ingredients. During Christmas time there is so much faffing around with food, presents and having to fit work in too that if something can be made more simple then I am so for it!
The sherry we used was Harvey’s Bristol Cream Sherry, which isn’t actually from Bristol! It’s from Jerez in Spain but it’s bottled in Bristol and the bottle they use is Bristol Blue Glass! The glass has become a bit of a trademark for them as they’ve been using it since the 1970s! I think I’m going to keep the bottle after all the drink has gone and pop a candle in it as I love the blue!
Have you tried Sherry before?
