London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Festival Must Haves *

At the start of the year, I had no plans to go to any festivals as we didn’t manage to get Glastonbury tickets so I sulked a little and then realised I did have a few other holidays to look forward to such as Malta and our Trek America! But then a mini miracle occurred and I’ve ended up going to two festivals abroad instead which is a total win. I have a little list of things aside from the usual you’d pack for a festival that I like to take with me and have proved very handy to have with me, these are as a follows…

iXpand Flash Drive for iPhone

The iXpand Flash Drive from SanDisk is a total godsend, it helps you free up space on your iPhone or iPad quickly as I’m forever filling my phone with photos that I don’t want to delete. Simply plug in the Lightning connector and you can easily move photos, videos and other files off your phone and onto the drive. From there, you can transfer the files to your computer using the other end as it’s a USB. I can see this being super handy for Trek America too as I’m bound to take so many photos!

Scünci Hair Accessories

When I go to any festival I obviously take kirby grips that can tame my unruly fringe and plenty of hair ties to keep my hair off my face and tidy, but a new item I have started packing is the scünci easy plait. It means whoever I am with can easily French Plait my hair for me without knowing how to! I’m  a big fan of French Plaits but I’ve never been able to do them on myself as I’d like to as they tend to look quite saggy and messy.

Your ID

You will always need to pack your ID for any festivals if you plan on buying alcoholic drinks as they will usually give you an ‘over 18’ wristband. If you’re not quite 18 yet, but do want a beer or two, check out the news on this website.

Packs of Tea

Being mega British I love a good cup of tea and as I’ve being going to festivals abroad I can’t always guarantee a good cuppa but you can almost bet your bottom dollar on the fact that there will be somewhere to give you hot water so I take my own tea bags! The English Tea Shop have now made up little travel packs that mean it’s easy to just chuck them in your bag when traveling. These packs have different flavours in so you’re able to pick your favourites and take them with you.

Kiehl’s Butterstick

This was a last minute purchase at the airport as it wasn’t something I’d really thought of packing but now it’s something I wouldn’t travel without. Kiehl’s Butterstick is an untinted lipstick filled with moisture and SPF25 that is made with all natural ingredients. I was so glad for this purchase when we were out on the beach before Benicassim Music Festival started as I knew my lips wouldn’t burn and even when we were out of the sun I’d still use it as my lips felt great after. Another plus is that it tastes great too!
