SEH BAC are now celebrating almost 50 years of bringing unparalleled home improvements to the South East so I was invited down to the biggest South East show centre at their Chelmsford branch, ahead of the new branch opening in Rayleigh. When you meet the staff you can see they care about how important your home is to you and that is should really reflect who you are as you will spend some of the most important moments of your life there so they really want to give you the home you deserve.
SEH are the initials of Scannell, Emmerson and Hewitt; the three founding members who were all civil engineers. After a rather swift departure of Scannell who didn’t think it would be enough a lucrative business, Emmerson and Hewitt are still behind the business today. They wanted to keep the business in the family, and despite having 18 showrooms, they have done so.
BAC is the company they bought back in 2008, previously known as BAC Warmlife.
So then with the names combined SEH BAC was born.
They are a multi-award winning and highly respected window, door and conservatory installer that operate throughout the South East, so that includes my favourite, Essex! They have recently received the Installer of the Year award which has given them the label as the best window, door and conservatory installer in the UK! That’s pretty prestigious right?!
They make all of their products to order in their state-of-the-art 22,000 square foot factory and each of these products will reach their highly rigorous manufacturing standards. Each of their installers are checked and tested every three months to ensure they are fitting the products perfectly too.
They have a customer promise that they’ve stuck by for years, and that’s high-quality products and unwavering customer service which you can tell they have stuck to when reading their Trustpilot reviews!
When I popped on down to the Chelmsford showroom, I met with Chris who is the Head of Sale and Marketing so I could get a real feel of what it’s like to be part of the evergrowing SEH BAC family.
Almost 15 years ago, Chris was listening to Heart Radio when he heard an advert about a new showroom opening in Chelmsford that needed staff. He picked up the phone, got himself a job and has worked his way up the ladder. I think it shows a hell of a lot when an employee has stayed in the same company for that amount of time when there are so many job options these days and the internet has made it so easy to jump between roles.
Chris spoke so highly of the brand, the owners and the rest of the team and that’s the kind of company I’d be wanting to take my business to. Awards do speak for themselves but it’s the commitment and love of the employees that really show the fabric of a business.
When our time comes to buy our house and replace any windows, and get the red front door I’ve often dreamt about, I know where I will be heading to first.
