Last week the partner in crime and I went to the opening of the Bar in the new Great Northern Hotel at Kings Cross Station.
The hotel itself has gone under a serious refurbishment and is looking stunning, both inside and out! A few motnhs back I was lucky enough to have a sneak preview at a few of the completed rooms, and I think I need a stay there!!
The bar itself is really well designed with lots of little nooks and crannies to hide away in after a long working day. There are two entrances; one outside of the station, and one within the concourse of Kings Cross Station to help bring in punters from the trains. There is a DJ in one corner throwing some great tunes which I spent the next morning trying to hunt down on Spotify!
The cocktails we tried were all great, my favourite by far was a Champagne concoction with raspberries in! The partner in crime really enjoy the vodka cocktail that was on offer! I wish I knew what was in them in the hope of recreating them at home this summer!
The bar was lovely, staff were top notch and the venue made for an easy journey home!
