London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Christmas at Hobbycraft.

Being on a spending ban in November isn’t the best of things but Hobbycraft being a DIY haven making your own Christmas decorations kits are a given, and have certainly made decorating my home for Christmas a hell of a lot cheaper than usual.

And yes, they are one three for two so it makes Christmas even cheaper!

I’ve picked my favourite three items, and have plans with the partner in crime for a night in creating our own.  With a few good nibbles and a bottle of wine, I think I’ve got a really great evening in planned!

I’ve chosen this super cute advent calendar that turns up undecorated so I can paint until my heart is content.  It also has empty drawers so I can fill it with my favourite goodies and be used time and time again.

Secondly are the awesome make your own 6 pack of crackers option.   This kit includes six jokes, six multi-coloured tissue paper hats, six crackers with glued-in cracker snaps and tying ribbon.  It also means I can create personal crackers for each Christmas Dinner guest by adding my own little goodie or treat.  I’m thinking a scratch card or something similar to keep the element of surprise in there for me too! How knows what they might win!

My last choice is from the kids craft section, I couldn’t help myself! It’s been years since I’ve owned a scratch art set so why not go with the super cute snowman and mitten!  After scratching away to reveal the colours below add the gem embellishments and glitter to complete!  I can’t wait to have these hanging on my tree!

I’m really looking forward to my Christmas theme night in with my partner in crime getting crafty!  The perfect night in on a budget!
