On the hottest day EVER, the chap and I headed over to the Slug and Lettuce just by Tower Bridge for some dinner and cocktails to celebrate 30 years of their highly successful chain.
The bar is situated minutes away from Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and is within walking distance from Tower Hill and Fenchurch Street stations.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal that consisted of two starters of Calamari; a firm favourite between myself and the chap! The portions were such great value for money and I struggled to finish mine as I wanted to leave room for my dinner! For mains we went for carbonara and hunters chicken with chips. There were two empty plates by then end of the meal so we have no complaints what so ever!
The staff were fantastic, the venue was very classy and happy hour is pretty damn epic!!
We were treated to a Strawberry and Cream cocktails that were perfect for cooling us down in the heat. They consisted of Absolut Vanilia vodka, crème de fraise, Funkin strawberry purée, milk and cream, with a candle in the top! Do wish not on your birthday count?!
To tie in with the 30 years of Slug and Lettuce they have released these 30 facts, some of which are pretty off the wall!
Do you visit your local Slug and Lettuce?
This is actually my local Slug & Lettuce and I walk past it everyday on my way to work but I think I’ve only been in there once. They do some great deals on bottles of wine sometimes which are pretty hard to resist!
