6 CBD Recipes That Actually Taste Good *

*Collaborative Post.

Whether you’re a kitchen whizz or you want to experiment with CBD in your baking and recipes, it’s always useful to find new and innovative ways to incorporate CBD into your lifestyle. These are six mouth-watering recipes that you’ll love adding to your repertoire.

Fresh Mint Tea

Herbal tea is a great and highly effective way to consume CBD, and it’s also incredibly easy to make. You can experiment with different types of tea, but using fresh mint to create a revitalising beverage that is refreshing is a favourite. Take a small bunch of fresh, organic mint leaves and let them steep in hot water for around 15 minutes to extract the natural oils. Next, you can add a drop of honey to sweeten or a squeeze of lemon for a tart flavour. Finally, add a few drops of your CBD to your drink – a pure CBD isolate, such as Vitabiotics CBD, is recommended so you can be sure there’s no THC.

CBD Butter

If you want to incorporate CBD into your daily routine, adding it to an ingredient you use often is a great way to do that. Butter is an ingredient that’s no doubt a staple of your cooking and it fuses with CBD drops really easily. It also works well as you don’t run the risk of burning the CBD drops, since butter doesn’t have as high of a smoking point as oil. You can also flavour the butter further with herbs, such as with fresh chives or garlic.

Pesto

Pesto is an easy condiment for pasta or mixing into boiled potatoes, and you can include a range of herbs and ingredients to alter it to your taste. Mix fresh basil, pine nuts, olive oil, parmesan cheese and garlic in a blender until smooth, then add your desired dose of CBD drops to the finished batch. It can be kept in the fridge and added to dishes throughout the week as a delicious sauce.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

A sweet treat that’s sure to be a hit when your afternoon slump hits, CBD-infused cookies are a great item to have on hand. They’re a snack that is comforting and nostalgic, and with the added benefits of CBD, they can also be relaxing. You can either add CBD drops to the batter before baking, or you can use the above recipe for the CBD-infused butter instead.

CBD Smoothie

Smoothies are a great recipe to adapt to what you have on hand, what’s in season and what you personally enjoy eating. But a favourite is a berry-spinach smoothie that boasts a wealth of antioxidants and vitamin C. Add a cup of fresh or frozen raspberries to a blender, with a cup of fresh spinach, the juice of an orange and your desired amount of water or milk to create the right consistency, then add a few drops of CBD isolate before enjoying.

Guacamole

The final recipe to add to your favourites is CBD-infused guac which you can serve with raw veggies, crisps or crackers. Scoop the contents of a ripe avocado and mash with salt and pepper, one clove of crushed garlic and the juice of a lime, followed by a few drops of CBD and chill before serving.
