Having previously been to Gilgamesh before I was excited to be invited back to try their unlimited Sushi Menu that happens every Thursday. The atmosphere and décor is incredible; with carved wooden figures lining the bar and walls, large padded booths and ornate tables and seating.
Settling in a large padded booth, the partner in crime and I glanced over the offerings on the Sushi menu and was filled with delight. There were lots of new flavours to try and a few of my personal favourite. The partner in crime had never tried Sushi before so this was a great way for him to find out what he liked. The famous ‘Mr Chang’ Prawn Roll is certainly a new favourite of mine, and the crispy rice sashimi was amazing.
I quite enjoyed that most of the fish used was prawns or salmon and there was nothing too scary to try on the menu, it took me just outside of my comfort zone. I’d definitely go back for another round of these as the service was fantastic, the settings were out of the ordinary and the food was great!
