Grand Designs Live

Last weekend the chap and I headed over to Grand Designs Live courtesy of British Gas and we had a rather lovely afternoon.

We started in the Interiors section as this is what we were most interested in; when we went last year we bought the artwork for our bedroom and hoped this year we would find a little something else. We didn’t have anything in mind as we always say you find the best bits when you’re not looking!

We always tend to be drawn to lighting and we have an idea of what we want but we never ever commit! It’s like we’re afraid of making the wrong choice so we never make it! We really like the industrial look, and the mason jars with bulbs in but we just need to agree on one!

We next headed into the Kitchens & Bathroom section, we’ve only just decorated these so we won’t be making any changes but we’ve been storing up ideas for when we move in the future and can start all over again!

We took a quick walk around the Build section and came to a rather rapid decision that we both want to build a house and be on Grand Designs! Dreaming big obviously! There are so many amazing things you can do with houses now that I think buying one already completed wouldn’t be for us. Sorry, Dad!

We always leave the Garden section to last as we only have a shared garden at the flat so it’s the least important section for us, but we don’t like to miss out. We’ve picked furniture that we like for when we have our own garden so it wasn’t a wasted wander!

We did make the shortest video ever as we didn’t film too much as we get distracted too easily by all the nice things!
