Stampede Burger Bar, Essex

When it comes to burgers, you know they’re my favourite food, so when I’m asked to try a new local burger bar you know the answer will be yes!!

Stampede is the burger bar in question and it’s situated in the Food Court in Lakeside Shopping Centre.

The menu is a simple one; burgers, wings and ribs. You know what you’re getting.

I, obviously, opted for a burger. I may have made a whoopsy and ordered the middleweight and got two patties!

In future, I know to order the lightweight that comes with one patty!

But bloody hell it was a good burger, it was cooked perfectly and the bacon was so crispy!

As sides, again, I had eyes bigger than my belly, and chose two…

I had always wanted to try poutine, so this was the perfect opportunity… it’s cheese and gravy cover chips and this photo really doesn’t do them justice! They were insane and I#m baffled as to why more places don’t sell it!!

My second side dish were the onion strips…

Oh good lord, I was living the onion dream! Anyone that knows me will know I have onions with everything so this was perfect. I do love onion rings but these were such a good alternative. They didn’t leave me feeling stoggy, and I didn’t feel quite so guilty eating them… I do have a Marathon to run after all!

I am so glad that a burger place this good has opened a mere 10 mins drive from home, although this could mean I need to run a lot further to burn them off after! Maybe I could run there?!

The service was fabulous, and I did rather enjoy people watching whilst chowing down as it’s been a while since I’ve ventured to Lakeside!

I will be returning to take the chap for a burger very, very soon!
