As you may have seen, I’ve been trying to collate lists of all the places we think you try and eat in Essex and the places you should drink in Essex also, so what comes next… where to get your takeaways from in Havering!
You will have all seen or heard that Essex and London are making their way into Tier two so we can’t mix households inside and the rules have become a little stricter. Rather than going out for dinner with friends, why not grab a local take away to support a small business, stick on a film, play a game and make the most out of spending time with those that you live with.
2Spice is a really simple garage-style building next to Upminster station that produces the best Indian takeaway we’ve found. The menu covers everything we want to eat and have tried some incredible foods from here. The vegetable biryani is the dream and they’re always so friendly when we go to pick up our meals!

Another banging restaurant that offers a takeaway service! Ginger Spice is always so busy that it can often be tough to get a table short notice so we’ve often just grabbed a few dishes and headed home to not miss out on their foods. I highly recommend the Veggie Biryani and Sag Paneer!
395-397 Brentwood Rd, Gidea Park, Romford RM2 5TH
Ok, we all know that I have such a soft spot for Nino and his incredible food, so it’s obviously going to be on my list. All of the food available on the full menu is there to be taken away. If I’m gonna be honest, we probably get a take out veggie pizza with pesto, side of zucchini and potatoes at least once a week; it’s just that good.

We spent quite some time looking for a decent Chinese and both of these came to us as recommendations.
Fu Wing is more of a classic style of Chinese takeaway, with the kind of menu you’d expect from your local. The food is always cooked fresh with high-quality ingredients and plenty of flavours. We’ve never had a bad meal and we’ve been using them for a few years now!
108 North St, Hornchurch RM11 1SU
Fa Ya is a little more off the wall with their menu as they offer a few Thai dishes, dumplings and plenty of seafood. For me, the ultimate selling point is the amount of veggie-friendly dishes including an array of tofu which makes grabbing a Chinese so much easier for us! You get 10% off your first order online.

So aside from Nando’s and KFC, there are other places in which you can buy chicken, shock horror!
Back when I was a meat-eater, Now Peri Peri was my favourite place to get takeaway chicken from as it was always really high quality! They offer burgers, breast fillet, wings, strips or portions of chicken alongside a good few veggie options too, including halloumi and plenty of vegetables.
186 Hornchurch Rd, Hornchurch RM11 1QL
Everyone loves a good kebab, whether you’re drunk, hungover or sober, there’s no bad time for one! Kervan Saray is our total favourite as they offer a really vast menu but it’s all cooked fresh as we’ve stood there and watched a few times! I mean they even offer grilled sea bass which is pretty cool if you ask me! You get 5% off ordering directly online too.

Essex Grill was my go to when I lived with my parents and is still a go to whenever I am in Upmsinter. The staff are great and the menu is banging!

Great list! My favourite is the Italian! Many thanks for sharing.
