London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Adding to my Furniture Wishlist with Furnish Your Home *

I love home furnishing, you lot know that, so it won’t come as any surprise that I love going to the Ideal Home Show every year to see what’s the latest trend. This year the lovely team from Furnish Your Home sent Mumma Squibb and me to the show to view their new range and explore the what the show had to offer. Since we’ve discussed getting our money together to potentially buy a house next year I have become a little obsessed with homewares so maybe taking me to a homewares show wasn’t the best of ideas as my wishlist has grown drastically!

Our first stop of the day was to meet the team being Furnish Your Home to thank them for our tickets and to check out their latest items. Well, I think I wanted it all. They stock some amazing armchairs and I am 100% behind having an armchair in every room as I just love them so much, is that normal?!

As expected, this stunning Millenial Pink velvet chair caught the attention of so many passers-by. But, this wasn’t my favourite on the stand, it’s just a little too pink for my goth life! My favourite was a little on the darker side, just like this stunning Lyon Fabric Armchair!

I’ve got these ideas in my head of what I want when we have more space and this set up fits that pretty well! The idea of having a reading nook with a couple of armchairs with a decent size set of shelves to hold all our books would be perfect. I’d have two of these Toulouse Fabric Chairs and an awesome Britanny Table Lamp on one the shelves so you can see what you’re reading!

I was also quite the fan of this contrasting dark set up with the stunning Enna Table Lamp. I love a dark wall with bold accents like this set. I so can’t wait to be able to buy lamps and books and chairs and cushions until my little heart is happy!

From the Furnish Your Home stand we took a wander around the show and found a few more bits and bobs we both liked. Mumma Squibb was on the look out for new wall finishings as she wants to re-do their kitchen and bathroom and she found a few options that she’s going to run past Dad to get his seal of approval. I found a hot tub, an insane summer house, and lots of outdoor furniture for when we have a proper garden, oh and win the lottery!

Upstairs to the Ideal Home Show was the eat & drink festival so we had a little wander around there, stopping at Claw for a Crab Roll and some chips. We both bought some sausages from Supreme Sausages as they do some amazing flavours so I like to stock up and mum followed suit this year too.

I love days out like these and it was great to meet a new brand that stock some pretty awesome furniture! So thank you for having us Furnish Your Home!
