London Living with an Alternative Twist!

Where to Find the Best Date Locations in London *

Next weekend will four years to the day that Mike and I met, so that got me thinking about some of the best places around London for dates. Despite having been together for nearly four years we always plan date nights and even date days so we stop working, ignore the outside world and spend some valuable time together. Even though we live together we don’t always get to spend as much time together as we’d like; running a business together means lots of evenings are spent working, or trying to squeeze in the time to see family and friends. So here are my favourite spots around London, that we’ve tried and tested, for an awesome date night!

If you’ve found this page on the hunt for the best date location, then I’m gonna suggest sending your beloved a luxury flower delivery from Bloom Magic flowers, they also deliver in Irelandbefore the date even kicks off to win extra brownie points. You can thank me later!

Victorian Bath House, Liverpool Street

I had been excited about this booking for a while as it was somewhere that had been on my date list for quite some time. Upon arrival, you get shown to a table and sat down with a teacup of rhubarb wine while you read the rather extensive menu. We tried six cocktails between us and we couldn’t pick a favourite as they were all so good! The dark surroundings are perfect for setting a romantic scene for your date, but it’s also rather lively in there so there’s plenty to talk about. The service was second to none!

Book in advance online as it’s only open Friday nights!

Sky Garden, Tower Hill

We popped up to the Sky Garden on one of our date days and it was the perfect weather for it. Wandering around, looking out al the windows and braving the wind out on the balcony; we had so much to chat about as we were forever spotting places we knew, places we had been and places we wanted to visit. We decided to stop for a cheek Aperol Spritz and carry on taking in the views. The cocktails are pretty pricey so you might want to have a backup plan if you date continues past a couple of drinks!

Entry is free, but you do need to book online.

Skylight, Shadwell

Skylight London Lights, Tabacco Dock

Skylight is London’s newest rooftop bar and it changes as the season’s change. They have ice skating and igloos in the winter and rooftop games in the summer so there’s plenty to do other than have a drink or two there. The food there is really great too so there’s always that option if you’re hungry too!

You can just turn up but it’s advised to book tables and activities here.

Swingers, Liverpool Street

A date list from me wouldn’t be complete without some kind of crazy golf. I am so bad at it, but it doesn’t stop me from trying! Swingers has been my favourite indoor crazy golf that we’ve tried as it’s so much more then just a few holes! It’s got a street food area, a bar and even a restaurant so it’s a really great location for getting in a few drinks, a round of golf and a meal too; all without walking very far!

Book online in advance here.
